I know we have more important things going on in the world of US Government (political theater) but a question popped into my brain when thinking about the upcoming election…
If someone brings a relative to the voting booth who has Alzheimer’s and tells that person who they were going to vote for, is it voter fraud if they tell them the incorrect person?
I ask because I spoke with someone who did just that during the last election and I was genuinely appalled. What are your thoughts? Voter fraud or just a shitty thing to do?

…I think that is prolly a very small percentage of the electorate, the senile voter,…but in my opinion, our presidential election system is like an onion of fuckery, with many layers. From gerrymandering, hanging chads, confusing ballots, confused people, rigged machines, attack ads, unlimited contributions, etc.
How come the more you spend the more likely you are to win…what does that say about propaganda and it’s affect on you, and you, and me…?

I agree that the senile voter is the proverbial “one-off” but it shows the lengths which people will go to get an added vote (in this case I believe it was the person’s mother). Everything you mention is spot-on regarding our election system and it won’t get any better as long as “getting reelected” is the primary goal of any government official. It’s one of the reasons that nearly every congressional vote is along party lines, now; congressmen and women can’t afford to get blasted by their respective media backers. But I digress. Thanks for the comment!
